Testing services as an accommodation
Alternate location testing services
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ (UB) is committed to supporting students of all abilities. Students who have a documented condition that requires testing accommodations, and whose accommodations cannot be administered in the classroom, may be approved to take exams in an alternate testing location on campus.
Approved exams are administered through the University Testing Center, located on the 4th floor of Wahlstrom Library. You may contact the Testing Center by phone at 203-576-4212 or email .
Eligibility requirements
Students must be registered with the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS). Testing accommodations must be formally approved by OAS. Students utilizing the Testing Center must comply with all Testing Center procedures and timelines.
Exam scheduling procedure
Submit Proctor Request Form
As soon as a student becomes aware of an upcoming quiz, test, or exam, they must submit the at least five (5) business days in advance of the exam date.
Faculty coordination
Once the request is received, the Testing Center will coordinate directly with the course instructor to obtain any required passwords, exam materials, or special instructions.
Late or missed requests
If a student forgets to submit the Proctor Request Form by the deadline, they must immediately contact the Testing Center at to discuss next steps. Late requests cannot be guaranteed accommodation.
Important notes
- Testing accommodations are not retroactive.
- Failure to submit requests on time may result in the student needing to test in the classroom setting.
- Students are responsible for communicating with both OAS and their instructors regarding approved accommodations.
